If you are looking for funding for ICT, then the East Midlands Funding index can provide a useful starting point for investigating potential opportunities. The index is designed to provide a snapshot of funders that will support community based projects and initiatives that are delivered within the East Midlands region. BT Community Connections awards

Do you know a community or charitable organisation that is looking for IT equipment and wants to get online? If so, they can apply for a BT Community Connections award today.

BT Community Connections is an award scheme which enables community and charitable organisations to get online. Groups can apply for a laptop and a year’s free broadband connection. Award packages will be given to groups who can demonstrate how an award will benefit their work and the local community. Any organisation, working in any field of community benefit, located anywhere within the United Kingdom or the Republic of Ireland can apply. In the past voluntary projects, silver-surfers, conservation organisations, family support groups, sports teams and youth groups have been successful.

Funding Central

A website providing a guide to over 4,000 funding, contract and loan opportunities has been launched by NCVO and funded by the Office of the Third Sector. Funding Central is a free website and accessible to all, and can be found at: www.fundingcentral.org.uk
